These are just some of the questions I ask when designing a program for a client, and here’s why.. Specialized Multisport was created to offer individualized coaching for athletes of all abilities. I believe that training programs should be built on a foundation of good movement that enhances performance and health, while minimizing injury, and that addresses YOU and your individual needs.
As a physical therapist, I know that to provide the best plan of action requires obtaining a thorough history of how YOU arrived at your current level of performance, and ideally, an evaluation of how YOU move, both in your activity of choice and in your daily life. Building fitness on top of poor movement limits performance and can lead to injury.
I’ve been physical therapist and a triathlete for over 14 years. I have raced everything from sprint to ironman and have been coached during that time. I’ve learned a tremendous amount about effective training, racing, recovery and life balance that I pass on to my clients. I’ve learned how the body moves, develops and unfortunately breaks down, and I know how to provide effective guidance toward improvement.
